Description
English: MCGREGOR TRAINING COMPLEX, FORT BLISS, TEXAS – An Infantry Soldier along with 15 additional Soldiers assigned to Alpha Company, 4-17 Infantry Battalion, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, fires rounds down range with the newly developed Squad Designated Marksman Rifle (SDM-R), Jan. 25. Feedback from the infantrymen will assist Program Executive Office Soldier (PEO Soldier), an Army program used to field and develop equipment for Army Soldiers by coordinating and working together with Army combat arms units to collect data and make corrections to the SDM-R, weapon system and ammunition for the weapons platform before mass fielding.
