Deutsch: Hauptportal mit dem Torturm („Bläserturm“) des Stiftes Sankt Florian in der oberösterreichischen Marktgemeinde St. Florian bei Linz.
Das Stiftstor wurde nach einem abgeänderten Prandtauer-Entwurf von Giovanni B. Bianco (* um 1662, † 1722) errichtet und 1713 vollendet. Die figurale und ornamentale Bildnerei hat Leonhard Sattler ((* 1676, † 1744) ausgeführt und ein Jahr später wurde der Torturm vollendet. Zum Kloster selbst: Wann es gegründet wurde ist unbekannt, jedoch erste schriftliche Zeugnisse einer Klosteranlage gehen auf karolingische Zeit zurück (um 800 n. Chr.). Von 1668 bis in die Mitte des 18. Jahrhunderts erfolgte eine weitgehende Neuerrichtung des Stiftes unter Einbeziehung älterer Bausubstanz. Der Neubau zählt zu den glänzendsten Leistungen des österr. Barockbaues, der vorwiegend von dem Baumeister Carlo Antonio Carlone realisiert wurde. English: Abbey portal with gate tower of St. Florian Monastery in Upper Austria. |
