| Description |
English: St Andrew's Church, Bedingham, Norfolk, ledger stone of Thomas Stone (1603-1689) "who died on the 1st day of November 1689 of his age 86". See ledger stone of his wife adjacent, with same arms. He married Etheldreda Cooke (1600-1680) a daughter of William Cooke, Esquire. Arms: Per pale ermine and gules, over all an eagle displayed with two heads azure (Stone) (Burke, Sir Bernard, The General Armory, London, 1884, p.976 "Stone of Bedingham, Norfolk") impaling: Or, a chevron engrailed gules between three cinquefoils azure on a chief of the second a lion passant argent (Burke, Sir Bernard, The General Armory, London, 1884, p.224 "Cooke of Linstead, Suffolk"). |
