Summary[edit]

Description
English: St Ann's Vestry Hall Some people may wonder why a church that was destroyed in 1666 and not rebuilt has such a modern looking Vestry Hall. Those churches that were not rebuilt after The Great Fire were nevertheless allotted their own churchwarden within the parish to which they were amalgamated (in this case St Martin's, Ludgate), a privilege they guarded jealously until the system was finally abandoned in 1907- by which time some parishes had virtually no residents.
