Summary[edit]

Description
English: St Mary's Church Wortham. St Mary's Church, Wortham has the largest round tower in England. A representation of the tower forms the base of the Wortham village sign 311503. William Cobbold, the rector here from 1824 - 1877 was the author of notes that became Biography of a Victorian Village, an account of Suffolk in the 19th century. He also wrote the novel Margaret Catchpole.
