| Description |
English: St Michael's Church The parish church of Plumpton dates from the Norman period; the chancel was built in the early 12th century and the tower was added around 1200. Now surrounded by Plumpton College it appears the population left it behind congreagating first around the road junction where Plumpton currently lies then north around the modern settlement of Plumpton Green where a chapel of ease was built in 1893. |
