English: 1638 Stained glass window within St Mary's Church, Stopham, Sussex. Arms of Barttelot of Stopham, Sussex (Barttelot Baronets, 1875): Sable, three sinister gloves pendent argent tasselled or (Montague-Smith, P.W. (ed.), Debrett's Peerage, Baronetage, Knightage and Companionage, Kelly's Directories Ltd, Kingston-upon-Thames, 1968, p.52). The Barttelot family has been seated at Stopham since 1379. The church has a large collection of heraldic brasses.
