English: Steam engine, Stanton Ironworks Inverted vertical triple expansion engine by Glenfield & Kennedy Ltd, Kilmarnock 1902. Provided hydraulic power to the works. Stopped 1973 and part dismantled. Scrapped 1988/9. The similar engine in this building was removed to Papplewick Pumping Station. This visit was curtailed by security. My exterior is not fit for inclusion despite various manipulations. |
