Summary[edit]

Description
English: Stream between Irnham and Swinstead The DEFRA Conservation Walk follows the northern bank of this left hand bank of this stream. It is quite deeply cut into the farmland and supports a wide range of plant life. I saw watercress, celandines, dog's mercury and rushes amongst other plants. There are blackthorn, hawthorn and oaks along the bank. The wide field margin allows for plants requiring a drier habitat. There were lots of burrows in the banks and amongst the tree roots and obvious tracks through the vegetation leading down to the water. All this and electricity pylons as well!
