Description |
English: Submarine Porpoise Took Petrol To Malta. 20 January 1943, Portsmouth, Hm Submarine Porpoise Returned To a British Base Recently, After 14 Months in the Mediterranean. She Played a Big Part in Keeping Malta Supplied With Cargoes of Vital Importance. She Was the First Submarine To Embark a Cargo of Petrol and Mines, and To Carry Out a Mine-laying Operation during Her Passage. She Made Several Trips, (represented by White Stripes on Her " P C S - Porpoise Carrier Service Flag"). The Yeoman of signals hoists the Jolly Roger and P C S flags. |
