Image Note:

Bildenotat: Når Svanfoss sluse ble bygget tok en fotograf veien innom for å forevige fremdriften. Vi vet ikke hvem fotografen var, men resultatet ser vi her! Bildet er sannsynligvis fra 1909, året før slusen ble åpnet. Vi ser arbeiderne oppstilt til fotografering. Det er enkelt å se hvem som er ”sjefen”. Han står i midten med hvit skjorte, vest og jakke. Slusen gir adkomst mellom Mjøsa og Vormas nedre deler, samt Glomma mellom Rånåsfoss og Funnefoss.

NVE har noen eldre bilder av denne typen. Med tanke på att de er ca 100 år gamle har de holdt seg ganske godt. De har lenge vært godt emballert i syrefrie esker og vil derfor kunne være til glede for mange interesserte en god stund til.
