Deutsch: Metall-Drehstrom-Steckverbinder, Schutzsart IP20 nach TGL 4175, auch Kragenstecker genannt. Pendant zu DIN 49400. Die besondere Gefahr bei dieser Steckvorrichtung ergab sich vor allem bei Beschädigungen der Nase am Stecker. War die Nase abgebrochen, konnte der Stecker infolge der symmetrischen Kontaktanordnung so eingesteckt werden, daß der Schutzleiterstift in direktem Kontakt mit dem spannungsführenden Außenleiter kam. Dadurch standen die Körper der angeschlossenen Geräte unter voller Spannung (220V). Aus diesem Grund ist seit 01.01.1975 für Neuinstallationen nur noch die Steckvorrichtung nach VDE 0623 zugelassen. [...] In bestehenden Anlagen durften die alten Steckvorrichtungen nach VDE 0620 (DIN 49450/51) noch bis zum 31.12.1980 weiterverwendet werden. |
