Description
English: This 6-19-11 edition of TWIP features an interview with local activist Dr. Alice Rothchild on the boycott of Tribe, and Sabra Dipping company hummus, and the critical importance of local BDS( Boycott Divestment and Sanctions) work. We also update you on continuing efforts to displace more Palestinian Bedouins in the Negev.
Alice Rothchild is a Boston based physician, author and activist who is co chair of American Jews for a Just Peace Boston. She is an Assistant Professor in Ob Gyn at Harvard Medical School. She has spoken all over the US, has traveled to Israel/Palestine almost every year since 2004 organizing a health and human rights delegation, wrote Broken Promises, Broken Dreams: Stories of Jewish and Palestinian Trauma and Resilience, 2010, and is an active member of the Boston hummus campaign. She is currently working on a documentary on family stories about the Nakba and its consequences.
