Summary
[edit]DescriptionThatcher's Ford - geograph.org.uk - 285364.jpg |
English: Thatcher's Ford According to the OS Explorer map, this is also called Little Ford. After heavy morning rain - this was taken at about 2.45pm - it didn't look all that little. The marker shows the depth of water to be about three and a half feet, so presumably even those with all-terrain four-wheel drives weren't risking it in this condition. The river is the Blackwater, just a couple of hundred yards from its confluence with the Whitewater. It also happens to be the boundary between Hampshire and (on the far shore) Berkshire. |
