Summary

[edit]
Description Video segment produced using b-roll footage of an A-7E Corsair II that is on static display at Air Power Park in Hampton, Virginia. The Corsair bears the markings of Attack Squadron 37 (VA-37), which was established in 1966 during the Vietnam War. The squadron deployed twice in support of operations during the Vietnam War, and spliced in this segment are archived footage and images of VA-37 and Corsairs during the Vietnam War, along with b-roll footage and images of the Hampton Roads Naval Museum's Exhibit "The Ten-Thousand Day War at Sea," which tells the story of the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Additional research for this segment was completed by Captain Alexander "Sandy" Monroe, USNR, (Ret.), a volunteer at the Naval Museum. (US Navy Video by Max Lonzanida/Released).
