Roentgen examination showed a peculiardeformity involving the pyloric half of thestomach. (Fig. 3.) This region appeared tobe infiltrated, together with the pyloric ringwhich is held open allowing the food to passout of the stomach in a most remarkablemanner. At the sixth hour there was a smallresidue high up in the cardiac end of thestomach. Syphilis of the stomach was diag- had ceased and weight had been gained.Roentgen examination showed the peculiardeformity of the stomach persisting and atthe sixth hour there was a small residue atthe cardiac end of the stomach. ^larch I, 1915, patient remarkably im-proved, had gained forty-four pounds inweight, and was entirely free from pain andvomiting.
