Summary[edit]
DescriptionThe Black Rabbit Public House - geograph.org.uk - 1300903.jpg |
English: The Black Rabbit Public House The Black Rabbit (of death) always reminds me of "Watership Down".
I had planned to stop at this pub to relax, and enjoy the first pint of the year. Sadly, early on in the walk, plans had to be changed due to the closure of a footpath for bridge replacement. This meant a two mile addition to my mileage, as I re-planned a route along the eastern bank of the River Arun. It didn't help that I had an hour and a half thinking about a photograph from this position; the closest that I was likely to get to the pub! Never mind; hopefully there will be another occasion, and the bridge (at South Stoke) is scheduled to be replaced by the end of August 2009. |
