Description
English: Marines with 3rd Low Altitude Air Defense Battalion, based out of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., provide security at Kiwanis Park in Yuma, Ariz., during a Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief (HA/DR) Exercise as part of the Weapons and Tactics Instructor Course 1-17, hosted by Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One, Friday, October 14, 2016. The exercise was conducted to test and improve student capabilities to evaluate, plan and execute support to civilians impacted by conflict and/or natural disasters through a real-world scenario that requires quick reaction forces to extract U.S. and allied forces personnel from hostile environments.
