| Description |
English: The Dog and Pheasant, Castlefields, Shrewsbury Former Burtonwood pub now a Jennings of Cockermouth pub. This most unlikely happening resulting from Burtonwood disposing of their pubs to the Banks's Brewery empire who, around the same time, acquired the Cumbrian brewery, Jennings which has so far survived. Long may it do so. The pub is a classic back street boozer which may, like many similar pubs, find it hard to survive post the forthcoming smoking ban. |
