| Description |
English: The Firecrest, London Road, Wendover. This was previously the Halfway House and while it is only a few miles from Wendover Woods and the Firecrest Trail 1197411 the name is inappropriate. Why? Because the firecrest is a very small bird http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firecrest . The bird lives almost exclusively the conifer woodlands while this public house is in open agricultural area with large fields, few trees and nothing like a conifer woodland in sight! |
