The lilac flowers are not remark-able, but the habit is striking and tha leaves green,spotted with darker spots of the same colour. Maxillaria hviOckita, Rchb. f., Carleiiflora,t. 1053.—Of botanic interest only. establishment by Mr. Maries, from Ichang. It hasthe habit and foliage of P. cortusoides, and the calyxof the Himalayan P. fdipes (Watt MSS.). Theflowers arc in umbels, calyx cup-shaped, corolla palelilac. Probably hardy, and likely to win publicfavour.
