Summary
[edit]DescriptionThe Jetty at Claonaig - geograph.org.uk - 50396.jpg |
English: The Jetty at Claonaig. Claonaig is a remote spot on the eastern coast of Kintyre from where a ferry runs to Lochranza on Arran. There is nothing there but a concrete slipway, a telephone box and a bus-type shelter. The photograph shows it on a particularly wet and wild day. When we arrived, by bike, we were the only ones there and we wondered if the ferry might not be running. Then two cars turned up and a few minutes later the ferry appeared through the driving rain and, after a bit of difficulty, got itself onto the slipway. |
