Summary[edit]
DescriptionThe Lune Valley near Tebay - geograph.org.uk - 50372.jpg |
English: The Lune Valley near Tebay. The narrow Lune valley near Tebay carries both the M6 and the London-Glasgow railway on their way through the northern fells. The view is looking south from the adjacent A685 Tebay to Kendal road just before it begins to climb steeply up to Grayrigg Common. Across the valley can be seen Howgill Fells, rising to a height of over 2200 feet. The railway is tucked close in on the far side of the motorway at this point. |
