^trut anb Jfret The Dramatic Club had its beginning in 1914 under the able direction ofMiss Jennie Mitchell, who was then a member of the Normal Faculty. Duringthe winter term of 1921 the Club was named Strut and Fret from one of Mac-beths soliloqiiies: To-morrow, and to-morrow, and to-morrow.Creeps in this petty pace from day to dayTo the last syllable of recorded time,And all our yesterdays have lighted foolsThe way to dusty death. Out, out brief candle!Lifes but a walking shadow, a poor playerThat struts and frets his hour upon the stageAnd then is heard no more. The club continues to be one of the leading organizations of the school. Itmeets every Thursday evening during the school year, and owes its successprimarily to the earnest and untiring efforts of the dramatic director. MissTrovillion. The purpose of the Dramatic Club is to train students in the art of stagingand presenting plays, a knowledge of which is very valuable to the successfulteacher, and the poise and self-confid
