Summary
[edit]DescriptionThe River Bain, Bridge Street, Horncastle - geograph.org.uk - 561100.jpg |
English: The River Bain, Bridge Street, Horncastle The River Bain starts life at Ludford, high in the Lincolnshire Wolds, about 18 miles away. In ten more miles it will reach the River Witham at Dogdyke. Due to the narrow confines at Horncastle, it does flood parts of the town in times of prolonged heavy rain. The river is very shallow and sizeable chub can be seen swimming around. |
