But the hospital is being more an<more appreciated by the Japanese. An^one of the most interesting events of m.short visit in Tokyo was my trip to SiLukes, and introduction to the staff otwo native assistants, and the twelve a1tractive native nurses. St. Lukes Hospital still needs many things. But most insistent of all, per-haps, is the need for $1,000 to pay for some necessary enlargements. These cost$4,000. The Board of Missions recently appropriated $3,000 from a smallbalance in the Mens Thank-offering.
