In the winter of 1897-98, he removed his business to the store No. 83-85 WaterStreet—a much larger and more modern building, where he now conducts an establishment without a peerbetween New York and Albany, and prides himself as an Outfitter for man or boy, and greatly enlarged thescope of his business. The mammoth show windows of Mr. Goldbergs store are one of the attractions of thecity. He has always been accredited as one of the citys most substantial and enterprising business men, withthe interests of his adopted city uppermost in all his efforts. He is prominently identified with social andfraternal interests in the city, and his intelligence and good fellowship make him a popular citizen with manywarm, personal friends. 37
