Their presi-dent, whose contribution to this record of the Exposition precedesthis chapter, has used every means in her power and the greatopportunities given her to do this work. She is also the presidentof the Womans Branch of the Worlds Congress Auxiliary, andwith social duties in the hours of pleasure, and professional dutiesfor the Exposition in hours of business, her time has been indeedoccupied. Her beautiful home has offered constant hospitality toprominent guests of the Fair, including the Duke and Duchess ofVeragua, and the Infanta Eulalia, with their suites, as well as manyothers. She has won fame and favor from the women of ourcountry, as well as friendship and admiration. -*^r \
