Fig. 415.—Biddenham, Bedford. shows the natural crust of the flint at its truncated end, and is welladapted for being held in the hand when used. Other specimens from the Biddenham Pit are engraved on the scale ofone-half linear measure in Figs. 416 to 418. The whole, with the exception of Fig. 417, are in the collection ofMr. Wyatt. I1-- ll(> is of ochieows cherty flint, symmetrically chipped, andBhowing a portion of the original crust of the flint at the base. Itsangles are sharp, and not water-worn. In character it much resembles EIDDEXHAM, BEDFORD. 483 many of the implements from the valley of the Little Ouse, and fro***St. Acheul, near Amiens.
