Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The bridge at Pont-y-Meibion. The birthplace of one of Wales' best loved poets, Huw Morus/ Morris, is near here. Infact he was so good eloquent at presenting the Royalist cause and equally cutting of the Roundheads, that Cromwell had him silenced, during the Civil War. Pont-y-Meibion means "bridge of the children" and is named after a previous (wooden) bridge that the local children made, to span the River Ceiriog.
