| Description |
English: The church of Saint Patrick, Llanbadrig Believed to have been founded in 440 AD by St. Patrick who was shipwrecked on Ynys Badrig (Middle Mouse Island) but managed to cross to Anglesey and take refuge in a cave. He founded the church on the headland above the cave in thanks to God.
In 1884 the church was restored with financial assistance from Lord Stanley of Alderley in Cheshire (who owned land on Anglesey), on condition that the interior included elements of the Muslim faith as his wife was a Muslim. |
