Description
English: U.S. Army Capt. SaraRose Knox, a veterinarian with the 401st Army Field Support Brigade Veterinary Services at Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan, plays with one of her patients, Tory, brought to the clinic after seven days of not eating. Tory had ingested part of a blanket and Knox and fellow veterinarian, Maj. Dennis Bell, had to operate and remove the mass from her stomach and intestines. Until her infirmity, Tory was "outside the wire" searching for bombs with her Marine handler at various forward operating posts in Afghanistan.
