Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Lyon & Turnbull's auction house, 33–35 Broughton Place, Edinburgh, seen from the southwest. The building was completed in 1821 for a congregation of the United Free Church of Scotland, which in 1929 became part of the Church of Scotland. The congregation of the McDonald Road Church of Scotland (also a former UF church) merged with Broughton Place congregation and worshipped here as Broughton McDonald Church of Scotland. This congregation later united with that of St Mary'’s in Bellevue Crescent, becoming Broughton St Mary'’s church. The building in Broughton place was then sold for secular use.
