English: The former Waverley Railway Line This is the route of the dismantled North British Railway Edinburgh to Carlisle Line, known as the Waverley Line, near Leysburnfoot. The line was closed in 1969 but a group of volunteers are proposing to lay a section of track the two and a half miles from Whitrope Tunnel to Riccarton Junction. More information can be found at: www.wrha.org.uk/ |
