A free and abridged translation of Luigi Cornaro's Discorsi della vita sobria, together with The way to wealth, and Advice to young tradesmen, by Benjamin Franklin, and A sure guide to happiness, by Thomas Scott. The work by Cornaro is followed by an "Appendix. Golden rules of health, selected from Hippocrates, Plutarch, and several other eminent physicians and philosophers"
Some copies have a recommendation by George Washington mounted facing the title page. Cf. Austin and ESTC
The works by Franklin and Scott have divisional title pages; register and pagination are continuous
