THE DRAWING ROOM The chambers of the manor-house, on the second floor, correspondvery nearly in size, number, and general arrangement, with the apartmentsbelow. Large book-cases remain in two or three of these rooms, tellingtheir own story of the habits, tastes, and culture of the family. <The thirdfloor is divided into smaller sleeping-rooms—so numerous, that somefanciful writer has counted one hundred !
