Summary

English: The old road, Rylstone This is the old road from Skipton to Rylstone and beyond, superseded by what is now the B6265 some time after 1853, and now demoted to a public footpath. The tall ash tree marks a bend to the right, where there were two footpaths straight on, one to Scale House and one to the old road further on, a short cut across the bends in the road. These paths are not now marked as rights-of-way, but there is still an old stile alongside the field gate. |
