The Nashville Railway was sold at foreclosure sale on June ijlhto Col. A. M. Shook, the only bidder, at the upset price of $500,000.Colonel Shook represented the bondholders, Isidore Newman &Sons and Ladenburg, Thalmann & Co., of New York and Now Or-leans, and John L. Williams & Sons, Richmond, \a., to whom theproperty has since been transferred. Practically the only changemade in the affairs of the Nashville Railway was to take it out ofthe hands of the receivers, Messrs. Percy Warner and E. C. Lewis,who had charge of the property and that of the Cumberland Elec-tric Light & Power Co. during the past two years. A decree con-firming the sale has been entered in the United States Circuit Courtat Nashville, and on June 26th a meeting of the purchasers was heldaiul the organization of the Nashville Railway & Light Co. effected,
