The rails are 56-pound T, 4J^inch Canadian Pacific section, laid on ties and ballastedwith rock which was secured from quarries along theline. The tracks are elevated above the road on accountof snow. Much of the distance the track islaid along one side of the toll road, but con-siderable of the right of way is on privateproperty, donated for that purpose. On aportion of the line snow fences are erectedin winter. In spite of heavy snow fall itwas possible to keep the tracks clearby mtans of a homemade snow plow.
