K.Trask was receiver for the Los Angeles CableRailway. In his final report and request for dis-charge Mr. Trask shows that the receipts from allsources were $201,434, and the total disbursements$200,042, leaving a cash balance of $1,391. In additionto the running expense Mr. Trask also paid $11,740 un-paid debts contracted prior to his receivership, and hassettled all damage suits arising during his incumbency.He wishes his remuneration placed at $1,000 a month.The net earnings of the system during his term were$43,468. Altogether the receivers report is a mostcreditable one, and proves what was always claimed byC. B. Holmes, its principal promoter, that with therevival of business in Los Angeles and good manage-ment, the property would bear out the expectationswhich brouirht it into existence.
