CANADIAN ROAD ADOPTS ELECTRICITY. The opening of the electric railway between Waterlooand Berlin, Ont., was fittingly celebrated by the mayorsand officials of the two towns by a trip over the line incompany with its builders. Berlin is a railroad junction,distant a couple of miles from Waterloo, with which com-munication has been maintained by horse cars. Aninvestigation of the merits of electric traction led Man-ager T. There is a double track tothe grounds which gives good facilities for transportingthe vast crowds that avail themselves of the many attrac-tions offered. The popularity of the park may be under-stood when informed that on May 30, 15,000 people weretransported to and from the park. On such occasions ittaxes their equipment to the utmost, but they have han-dled all crowds without delay or accident. Each weekthere are excursions from distant points to the park, asarrangements have been made with the different railroadsto transport the thousands of excursionist from the depotsto the park. They have a unique method of advertising, by enclos-ing a motor car in bill boards, decorated with gailj-col-ored posters. It is brilliantly lighted at night. This caris run on all lines in the
