Bryan, duringthe years immediately following, studying lawwith her husband as instructor, pursuing thecourse prescribed in the Union College of Law,Cliicago, and being admitted to practise beforethe Supreme Court of Nebraska in 1888. Shedid not, however, study with any idea of prac-tising law, but merely to keep in touch with herhusbands work. Three children have l)een boi-n to Mr. andMrs. Bryan, all of whom are still living. Theoldest, Ruth Baird, is now neaily fifteen ; thesecond, AVilliam Jennings, Jr., is eleven; andthe youngest, Grace Dexter, is nine. Theolder girl.
