English: The top of the town Coming down into Middleham from the moor, one is immediately into an urban setting of 18th century houses huddled together around cobbled courtyards and squares as if they are trying to avoid the cold Pennine winds and rain. Middleham is a delightful little 'fossilised' country town with a rich and important past. |
