Description
English: Relief shown by contours. Prime meridian: Washington. "Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1851, by Thomas, Cowperthwait & Co. in the Clerks Office of the District Court of the eastern District of Pennsylvania." Signed on verso: Millard Fillmore March 1853. Includes lists of steamboat and stagecoach routes, and indexed inset of the District of Columbia. "Population of Virginia by Counties, in 1850" pasted on verso. Available also through the Library of Congress Web site as a raster image. Annotated in lead pencil in lower left corner on verso: Fillmore Map Coll. # 24. DCP
