English: The valve tower, Castle Carrock Reservoir A functional structure with Edwardian grandeur. The valve or "draw-off" tower houses machinery which controls the water leaving the reservoir for the treatment works. It can be drawn from various depths according to conditions in the reservoir, to get the best quality.
