| Description |
English: Tinley's, Exeter. The history of the building, which commands a fine view of Exeter Cathedral, is well documented at http://www.exetermemories.co.uk/EM/_pubs/tinleys.php and clearly illustrated at http://www.exeter.gov.uk/timetrail/08_tudorstuart/object_detail.asp?photoref=8_69. It took on its present appearance following the demolition of the Broad Gate just to its left in 1824. Tinley's tearoom lasted from 1930 to 1992; since 1996 it has been a Pizza Express.
