| Description |
English: Transformer of Turbine No 5. The transformer of turbine No 5 has to be installed on the concrete base before the tower section is lowered on top of it.
The transformer is needed because the electricity produced by the turbine is alternating current, AC with a variable frequency which cannot be handled by the national grid therefore the transformer converts it into direct current, DC. then back to a constant AC frequency for transmission to the national grid for consumer use. 783556 696963 696211 728735 741368 824546 |
