| Description |
English: Up iron ore empties passing Trent Station. View northward, towards Toton Yard and Chesterfield by the Erewash Valley line, also Derby to the left, Nottingham to the right: ex-Midland main line junction. The signalbox on the left is Trent Station South Junction, where the lines curved off west to Sheet Stores Junction, Derby and Castle Donington. The building centre-right is Trent Station and the train is on the Independent lines towards Leicester and London, from Toton via Meadow Lane Junction to Ratcliffe Junction, by-passing the station, which was closed in 1/68. The locomotive is Stanier 8F 2-8-0 No. 48355 (built 1944, withdrawn 9/65). |
