Board of Education officials feel strongly thatthe heated controversy over the name of the new $5,000,000 junior-seiiior high school at Rowland and Ryan aves. has produced—asone of them expiessed it—a new low in citizenship. The school was named the Abraham Lincoln School by theboard, but a group of residents still insists that it be called theMayfair School. The last pamphlet this United Committee issuedprotested against naming the school af^er a non-resident, whichseems a rather stupid point with The Great Emancipator involved. A large real estate dealer, whose business is to promote theMayfair section, reportedly has headed the protest against AbeLincoln.
