Description
English: Two ships at Outfitting Wharf in Belfast docks.
  • On the left is Resolution, used in the construction of offshore windfarms. At the time she was working at Robin Rigg Wind Farm in the Solway Firth, frequently returning to Belfast to collect turbine sections stored and assembled there. Its unusual shape comes from the six 130m legs which, once on site, jack the vessel out of the water and provides a stable working platform at sea.
  • On the right is HSS Stena Discovery. Withdrawn from the Stena Line Harwich-Hook of Holland route in January 2007, she has been sitting idle in Belfast docks for two years.
